He stayed in a guest room trying to shut out the sounds of Amber crying. He could still picture the anguished look on her face when he mentioned abortion. He was frozen in fear, couldn't move from his bed as he gave into his despair and sobbed into his hands. He was ashamed at himself, at how he had treated Amber without even considering her feelings.
