It was almost ten o’clock at night when James arrived home.
Sybil and Bella waited up for him so they could tell him about her decision to start working in his company.
Although James didn’t want to cause Sybil any inconvenience, he knew he was in trouble. So, he accepted her decision.
“I will arrange a press conference to announce your employment,” James insisted.
Bella felt helpless. She was eager to help James too but she was busy with her final exams. So, she could do nothing but worry.
Sensing her unease, James tried to comfort her.
“How about giving me a kiss? That would be very helpful.”
James’ efforts did nothing to ease Bella’s frustrations. She stared at him irritably then walked up to her bedroom.
