Unfortunately, it was clear that Tom was at least indirectly responsible for Lily’s death. Bella felt indignant that he had behaved so badly while Lily was alive.
“Doctor, could you please not tell the parents about Lily’s previous health issues?” Bella asked.
Lily had just passed. If her parents discovered how much she had suffered, they would be unable to stand it.
As Bella walked out of the hospital, her head was a mess. She didn’t know what to do. Luckily for her, at that moment, James arrived at the hospital. He came straight to Bella’s side and greeted her with a warm hug.
“What’s the matter?” James asked concernedly.
Tears started falling from Bella’s eyes as soon as she saw him.
“James, Lily is gone.”
Bella couldn’t help crying, her hands firmly grasping James’ sleeve.
