It was late in the evening when Finn walked in. I’ll admit, he surprised me, having expected all the Keepers to appear whenever they wanted. At the look on my face, he smiled kindly. “Easy girl. I brought a peace offering.” He held out a plate of food. My stomach growled loudly at the smell. “You might be the first person here I don’t feel like hitting.” “Thanks. Let’s see, we’ve got potatoes, pork, sauce, and steamed vegetables.” Eagerly, I took the plate.
