I sat back in my chair, twirling a strand of hair around my finger as I stared at the remnants of my half-eaten salad. The café was bustling, the hum of voices and clinking dishes swirling around me like background music. Across from me, Jules and Jenna were both deep in conversation about something ridiculous involving Eluna’s latest dating disaster.
I laughed as Jules mimicked Eluna’s date’s awkward attempt at impressing Eluna with his supposed knowledge of wine when being in Koda’s restaurant after dropping Eluna off there instead of Eluna's house, making it already very clear to the guy that this date would be a 'one and done' kind of thing.
“He kept going on about the 'hints of oak' in his wine, and I swear to God, it was just a cheap house red!” Jules threw her hands
