Skye’s P.O.V. I drove through the winding roads of the small town I had lived in my entire life, my mind a tangled mess of confusion and frustration. The truck hummed along as I headed back toward Adam’s house, hoping my big brother could help me figure out what the hell was going on with Lila. Ever since last night, something had been off. Lila had left early this morning without saying goodbye—a first for us. No kiss, no hug, not even a whispered, “Have a good day.” Just... gone.
