Hunter Damn Smoke Elemental had me limping all the way back. Thank the gods I had my magic to work with, otherwise I'd be dead right now. It hit me so hard, sweeping me off my feet and knocking the wind from my lungs. For the first time in a while, I saw stars. But its presence was welcome, it helped me burn off my pent-up energy before I had to witness Dahlia reuniting with her boyfriend. I let myself gaze at her from a distance, one last time, for once not bothering to hide my longing. And then I left. I didn't want to see what happened next.
