CHAPTER III: THE FIRE HEIR Bongo was raised entirely by Kramian. He dedicated all his days providing the necessary teachings of the dragon culture to his grandson, with love and determination; enjoying both of the best attributes that life had to offer. The union, the family, the legacy, the coexistence, and the Colonel witnessed the growth of a very strong dragon. The next great leader of The Splendor. Kramian was preparing his successor, and who better than his own grandchild. The Fire Heir proved to have great abilities. He was fast and intelligent. He had an impressive ability to concentrate and became a warrior with a promising potential. Kramian trained him during his first hundred years, and he was already ready for battle.  Although in reality, the dragons needed to have a minimum preparation of one hundred and fifty years. Kramian decided to bet on him, since Bongo's energies were very strong. He was a very sociable dragon, with a distinguished capacity for leadership. And the day he turned his hundred years old, Kramian dared to take him to his first battle against those of Nénufar. He stood out in it, and led it successfully, in a surprising way. Because of this, Bongo participated for five hundred years in the eternal wars, at the hands of Kramian. The leadership of both caused a time of much control and dominion against those of Nénufar; triumphing without major problems in the region. The grandfather had an impressive synchrony and understanding with his grandson, and the coordination favored them in battle. Together, they guided firmly the Army of Splendor. One night, Wiz received a signal from the heavens. It was a comet that left a fading trail, which was rare and uncommon. Bongo also observed it. He decided to run to the great shelter of Wiz. “Your majesty, did you see this comet?” he asked excitedly “It is not frequent in these lands.” “The atmosphere is lately full of surprises, son” he exclaimed. “I'm afraid this doesn't bring me good feelings. It is the beginning of unfavorable times.” “What do you mean, sir?” Bongo asked shaking. “A cataclysm is coming. We must be prepared.” Bongo ran to his grandfather. He told him what had happened, and asked him to talk to the Golden King. Bongo, in reality, was an extremely nervous dragon, and excessively anxious. He needed to feel that he was working on what bothered him. He did not like to be still, for he considered that there was always something to improve. It was part of his excellence as a warrior, but his weakness as a spirit. Kramian reassured him, and told him they would face the problem together as a nation. Later that same day, Wiz requested the presence of the Colonel. “Your majesty, Bongo is quite restless these days” he said. “He doesn't stop talking about a destruction; a threat. What is coming to us in these times, sir? Nénufar is remarkably controlled. I don't know what threat can be bigger than them.” “I don't know either, my son” responded the Golden King. “However, I am afraid to say that we are really facing the imminence of a disaster. I can feel it. Life does not want to be clear at this time, but we must be prepared”. “All of this, is very strange. From what nature could this disaster come from?” “It will not be internal” responded Wiz. “For we would have noticed already. This disaster must come from an external source.” “Will they be beings from other domains?” says Kramian sarcastically. “I doubt it very much” exclaimed Wiz. “Let's continue working in that army. We must strengthen our defenses. Ïnmâeh will be attacked soon.” The beings of other dimensions were considered part of an ancient mythology. A rumor passed from generation to generation, started by the terrestrial. And, somehow, spread throughout the Kingdom of the Dragons. It explored the idea of unlimited powerful beings, created by the universe, beyond Kepler. They talked about how they interfered and interacted with life and death on the planet. It was said that his energies were hidden, but occasionally, they projected on the environment and induced incompressible situations, even for the most experienced dragons. Some sectors of the dragons then deduced, that these strange events came from the unknown beings of other dimensions. Although, warriors like Kramian and the Splendor itself, did not believe in these assumptions. Through them, control and tranquility needed to be exemplified. These symbolized the security of their nation and their reign. But the rumors began to run fast. In the Hanging Garden any kind of made-up stories began to spread, from the appearances of beings of darkness to the k********g of creatures to prisons of other dimensions, which forced Kramian to go to the Hayedo Square, and sentence a statement. “Whatever is coming, we will be prepared!” he shouted.  “And this kingdom will prevail while I am alive and entitled as the Guardian of this Army. Our home is, and will be safe!” The dragons were all day in Hayedo. The magic of this place emitted a spring atmosphere, with large pink-leaved trees and a set of shrubs that spread harmony in the heart of the dragons. It was the perfect place to deliver public message that could cause tension. The dragons received the calm of the place, and thus processed the information easily. Even so, everyone was worried, and wanted their doubts to be clarified. Kramian had become the bearer of information and the general messenger of the Golden King. Which, for some reason, had spent decades isolated. He was always in his shelter, on the strange abode on top of the Mount Geneza; the upper floating island and the highest point of the suspended kingdom. Bongo was privileged enough to go there, sometimes. In fact, he had a close friendship with the golden creator. Wiz stopped being participatory as before, for he was more and more flooded with wisdom.  He spent his days conversing with nature itself. His people no longer saw him, but everyone respected him. Everyone loved him, for he still was the creator of them all. He was the founder of all their homes. And in the written relics of the dragons, the Golden King was the apotheosis embodied as a true legend. Everybody talked about him, and people spread the mythical stories of how he had overthrown the six-headed monstrosity of Nénufar. Narratives of that day when the empire was born; from the icy lands of the high mountains. From when he emerged with his own kingdom, in front of the world, to place it magically among the clouds. Turning the miraculous peaks into a floating nation, until arriving, to the beautiful suspended city that The Garden became, above the sapphire skies.  “How is he?! The shelter has charms everywhere right? Tell us, how is he?” the young dragons asked Bongo, in Hayedo. “He is our King; he loves us all and is asking us for cooperation, so we could be prepared for the revelation of this unknown event.” "How can we help?" they asked. "Keep calm" Bongo explained, "continue your regular activities. Enjoy them, make them with more love. Spread the tranquility in your environment and neutralize any negative message through peace and harmony. We need the Garden to emanate the purest possible sensation, find the clarity of what lies ahead. We can only achieve this with everyone's help.” Bongo was also a bearer of messages from Wiz. He was part of the group of The Fifteen Messengers. They were the only dragons that had direct communication with the Golden King. Bongo was the youngest of them, so he took care of the young groups. These messengers were used only when the Golden King had important messages to reveal, just as he needed in that moment. On the night of that day, Kramian, Bongo, and a dragon named Faĕlum, went up to Mount Geneza. They went to inform the Golden King about the results of the activities carried out in Hayedo, during that afternoon. They all went up the endless stairs that led to Geneza. When they arrived at the shelter, the door was completely destroyed. They entered the strange place, and found Wiz on the ground; in a corner, with severe injuries on his body. He seemed to have returned from a battle. As much as they tried to lift him, he did not regain consciousness. Until, he opened his eyes widely and stood up. "My children, evil is approaching" he exclaimed. “It is the deluge of the stars, the steep rain of them. They are approaching Ïnmâeh in this exact moment! We must defend our kingdom and our home, right now!” “Sir, do you said a rain of stars?” asked the Colonel. “It's the rain of millions of comets. Billions of metorites, Kramian.” he explained. “We must position ourselves to destroy these space stones before they reach the surface” exclaimed Wiz. “For they are poisonous to our crops, and otherwise, they will contaminate our meadows and our mountains. They will destroy our forests and our rivers. The provinces of the lands will disappear, and the reigns will be in ruins. I have seen everything. We must act fast.” “When will this event happen, sir?” Bongo asked. “Tonight” replied the Golden King.   Kramian ordered Bongo to immediately ring the bell of the Gardens, which was similar to the sound of thousands of them. This unique bell was located in the Temple of Leodoro; its echoes were heard throughout the kingdom, and indicated the sign of preparation before a lethal threat. Kramian emanated the great golden fire, calling the Army of Splendor. “Sir, our armors!” asked one of the dragons. “There is no time for armors!” explained the Colonel. “We must round the stratosphere's immediately! These are your positions! Wait for the right moment!” “Grandfather, I'll take the Quetra and Delta groups. What is the attack plan?” asked Bongo. “To defend ourselves, Bongo” he said. “We must position ourselves as high as possible, so we could emanate roars of fire that need to reach this comet. We have to minimize their size, before they enter our atmosphere.” “We come from the fire! We are the fire!” Bongo exclaimed impetuously to splendor. Positioned, the Colonel gave them the pre-signal of attack. They aim at the comets, and prepared to roar their sacred fires. The Army then, placed itself in several positions of the Kepler stratosphere, covering it in its greatest possibility.  Towards the space clearing, several flashes of light approached at impressive speeds. And from the ground, it could be observed rows of countless dragons, who were all prepared to destroy the approaching comets. This image was perpetuated forever on the land race. Never before, was seen so many dragons together, but at the same time the terrestrial wondered why so many of them were there. They covered the entrance to their own planet, which increased concern and a sense of danger in them. It was clear that some evil was approaching, and of incalculable magnitude. So, the terrestrial, depended on the Army of Splendor. This time, a cosmic enemy was rapidly coming for them. Hundreds of meteorites displayed in the space vision. It looked like a planned catastrophe. The plan was to blow up these meteorites, with their perfect fires, and finish disintegrating their pieces within the planet. But to achieve this, the roars of fires had to cross the stratosphere, run through space itself and impact the meteorites when they were close enough. They weren´t sure whether the roars will reach the upcoming stars, for they never did it before. “Prepare your useless mouths and prove that they are worth having!” Kramian repeated to the army. “Everyone point the evils! There is no turning back! For Ïnmâeh, for the terrestrials, for our families, for the Hanging Garden!” Moments after the dragon fury went out, the sky became agglomerated from the stars. The sky turned into a dark blue cloud, with orange cracks, which denoted the entrance of the giant stones into the atmosphere. It is said that it was the brightest night that could be observed in the history of the world. The radiant light of these thousands of comets penetrated, and from the ground, the end of time could be felt. It was as if the sky was falling before them, like a galaxy trying to devour Kepler. “Attack!” yelled Kramian. “Fire!” The never before battle, had been unleashed. The dragons were facing the fury of the universe. They never had such confrontations before, but the leadership, the experience, and the strength of the Colonel and his heir, effectively guided the Battalion. They were nervous, but their roars were synchronized, and their defense was dynamic. Some made the great stars explode, proving that the power of their roars could cross space effectively. The lower lines chased the remaining pieces as they descended, also destroying them in their path. The remaining pieces flew in all directions, and multiplied as they detached themselves. The dragon organization was losing. There were too many of them, and some dragons traveled so many distances, that they were lost sight of. The stars demanded much more movement from the dragons. They were to cover upwards, downwards, around the sides, on the surface, in the Garden. They were everywhere.
