Julian was disgusted as he realised the same thing as Luca. The little boy had been human and snatched for Conrad's experiments. As he talked a little more, Kieran let slip that his parents were killed and his heart sank. He wasn't sure what to do. He couldn't send the child back to town now. He had shifter blood in him and since this had never been something he'd come across he couldn't say whether the child would become a full fledged werewolf when he was older or not. It was not something he could risk. Kieran would have to remain in the castle. The poor lad now had to learn all about shifters whether he wanted to be one or not. Conrad had upended this boys life and Julian couldn't be more disgusted at the knowledge of how far this man was willing to go to perform his experiments.
