Ruby was apprehensive as she followed Marcus into the bedroom. She wasn't about to give herself to him, not yet when she barely knew him, regardless if they were mates. Marcus however seemed to read her mind, fluffing up the pillows and placing two on the floor as she stared wide eyed. She hadn't even had to utter a word and here he was being extremely considerate. Her heart melted.
"Thankyou" she murmured and he flashed her that grin of his that had her knees knocking together and her body trembling from the sheer effect it had on her.
"I didn't think that you would want to share a bed just yet" Marcus said shrugging and Ruby nodded, exhaling in relief. Part of her felt extremely guilty however that he was suffering on her account. Perhaps she should be the one to sleep on the floor?
