I kissed Allerick’s forehead while Rodrigo inspected the eye of his hand.
“It’s the new eye,” Rodrigo muttered. My eyes fixated on the eye. It was moving from side to side, like searching for something.
“Is the codex we have the one, the eye is searching for?” I asked. Rodrigo shook his head.
“To be honest, I don’t know. We will need it to verify,” Rodrigo sighed.
So far, no one was aware of the situation here. The only one who knew until now was Rodrigo, who I had called. The moment he set foot in the room, his entire face contorted as he stared at Allerick’s pained face.
“He will be under the symptoms for at least three days,” Rodrigo explained. “You know how it works, right?”
