It’s been three weeks since Allerick and Jason left.
I stood at the window, looking outside.
Jayce’s plan to keep me safe differed from what I have thought. Things worked differently, and now I was staring at a different scene.
We somehow had moved from place and were no longer in the area near the chambers. So it didn’t matter if they looked for me there. I was gone from that place. But, of course, that didn’t mean we couldn’t go back.
Jayce’s powers allow him to travel occasionally, and just like blinking, we appear again in a different place. But, he was still a stranger to me.
