She was glad to see Luci and Silla bond, had seen the fear in Riva when she mentioned Victor and Alari's anger had risen at the mention of his name, something Addi had spent most of yesterday getting Silla out of saying Vic Vic, and referring to him as simply Victor. It had taken some doing, he had raised her and that’s what she'd always called him from a tiny toddler, was ingrained into her.
Silla had, had to come to understand that although Victor had raised her and treated her well, he’d actually only done it for his own means. Not because he loved her. If he did love her, he’d never have let her believe she was the last Siren out there, and would have taken her to a lake and let her swim in it often or even found another Siren pack for her to go and live in.
