Warm. Comfortable. Sara snuggled deeper into her pillow. She couldn’t help the smile at the contentedness of bother her and her cat. A scent surrounded her that turned her smile into a grin. Jackson. Becoming more aware, she realized they were in her favorite position. Her head was on his chest so she could hear every beat of his heart. Their arms and legs were twined together. He was asleep but still held her close. She moved her head a little and another scent hit her nostrils. Mud. Sweat. Something else. A slight mildewed smell.
