We had gotten into Montana and then took a plane from their to the east coast before we transferred to an international flight to Italy. Before we boarded he used his gift to keep me silent. Then halfway through the flight he just told me I needed to sleep and I slept.
When I woke up sometime later I was in a cold dark room. I was alone. I had slept the entire journey from the plane to the place I was now. Where was I? Just then the door opened on the other side of the room. I sat up and looked at the person that entered, she was pale with a cloak and blonde hair.
"Hello my name is Jane." She whispered. "Want to play?" He asked me with a devilish smirk.
I felt something was wrong but before I could react I fell to the floor and began twitching in agonizing pain. I could hear my voice rising through the many high octives before I couldn't scream. I was in so much pain, what was happening? I thought I was dying, I hoped though it happened soon.
"I told you not to use your gifts on her Jane." I heard Rome's voice shout.
Suddenly I felt my body relax. I didn't bother moving or opening my eyes at all. I was so exhausted it was impossible to speak as well. I realized I must be in the dwelling of the Volturi coven. This Jane would be one I would have to look out for in the future.
I winced weakly as I felt a hand upon my shoulder.
"Juliet I want you to know that I will not let her hurt you anymore okay?" Rome said.
I heard the door open again and a unrecognizable voice spoke.
"Felix would like to get a glimpse of his daughter in law." It spoke.
"Yes Alec, I will need a few moments to prepare her first though. Send me the human to dress her and make her presentable."
"Very well then I will let your father know." Alec said before he left.
Minutes after he left the door opened again and I felt myself being undressed, my hair and body being washed and then my hair being done before I was dressed again. It was a long silent process but once it was over Rome was with me again.
Everytime he came around I felt nothing but betrayal from him. He manipulated me and took me from my family, he put me in this situation and now I was apparently engaged to be married to him. How long was I really sleeping?
"My dearest Juliet wake up it is time to meet father." He told me.
He touched my arm and demanded me awake and to my feet and with much struggle I obeyed.
"Please stop." I told him.
He then demanded me of my silence and I obeyed.
He showed me to a wall of glass that reflected my image and I looked in awe at the beauty that was before me. I was magnificant in my look. I was dressed in a long deep red dress that hung near my ankles. My skin was radiating and my lips matched my long elegant fingernails.
Rome held out his arm and wrapped it around me before we headed out of the door. I looked around and saw nothing but stone, no light except that from the torches that hung on the wall. I also could feel the chill everywhere which had me to believe that we were underground.
We stopped five doors down the hall from where I had been and Rome knocked twice. A voice beckoned us inside and I walked along side my 'fiance' across the room to a stage like set up. There at the center of the stage sat three chairs they were occupied. But the men sitting in them weren't the one we wanted, the large fierce man standing at their side was the man.
He stepped forward and nodded towards Rome before he acknowledged me. He sniffed me a few times before he walked a small circle around me to look me over. He made a few questions about the looks of my muscles and my blue eyes before he stopped back in his spot before Rome and myself.
"She isn't fit for the Volturi life, she wouldn't last a day drinking blood. She should be executed." he snarled as he rose his hands towards me.
Rome moved to stand before me as a shield. He dropped into a crouch and hissed before he resumed his straightened stance. He apologized before he tried to reason with his father. "She has an excellent gift father and I bet she would make excellent additions." Rome replied in my defence. "Really you should see it, it's very useful."
"A useful gift." A man that sat on the middle throne said. This man was named Aro. He rose to his feet and glided eerily towards my side before he stopped. "May I see this gift."
Whatever I needed to do to stay alive I told myself mentally. I nodded my head and stepped back a few paces. I concentrated and watched as it began raining in the room, then snowing then I turned it to a sunny day which made everyone but Rome and myself sparkle.
Aro clapped his hands excitedly. "This is wonderful, imagine a world with hardly any sunny days. Our kind would be able to walk around whenever we needed to without hiding. Show me more." He said.
I laughed lightly to myself in amusement from his response before I produced a minature tornado a hurricane a firestorm and played around with thunder lightening and earthquakes before I stopped. I didn't want to get on their badside for destroying their home so I made everything last no longer than a few seconds. When it was over everyone's expression were of shock.
"I told you father." Rome said. "She is a excellent addition."
Aro stepped forward and placed a necklace that was a letter 'V' with a crest in its crevice with two red stones around my neck.
"You are now a part of the Volturi coven." He turned towards the others at the thrones. "Please note that she has joined with Rome as her eternal partner. "I can't wait to see the offspring from this couple." He whispered cherrily to himself as he moved to his seat.
"Offspring?" I asked.
Rome looked at me and nodded. "We will produce an offspring after our wedding this evening." He said to me.
I jerked my head to look up at the front where the three sat. "Wedding this evening?" I questioned.
"Yes dear. You and Rome are to be wedded. You will take his natural surname and become Juliet Volturi." The youngest throne bearer spoke. His name was Casius. "Either join us or die as you will not return to your family. Whatever Aro wants he gets."
I looked at them in disbelief. I had no dress to wear. My family wasn't here and I was pretty sure my father was suppose to walk me down the isle and hand me off. I didn't want this, as well I didn't want to mate with this manipulator.
"I have no dress." I blurted out in hopes this would delay things even if for a day or two.
"You will wear the dress all the wives had worn. The wedding goes on Marcus spoke.
I shivered lightly as I listened to his tone. It was odd and dull but full of strength. I wondered why they kept him if he came across so frail. I knew that if I wanted to live I had to do as they said. I needed to make sure I kept them happy and that ment for first, getting married. By the end of the day I would become a Volturi.
