*Nicolina’s POV*
Joel and I watch Lissa in her event, shocked by how good she is. Never did I have to imagine that Lissa would be the best in a primarily male-dominated sport, but she walked away with first place in the roping, and her next event was barrel racing. I look around for her partner and frown when I see Edwina vomiting behind the tents. I see Lissa begin to panic, and I look up at Joel, who nods at me. “Lissa, I'll partner with you,” I say as I walk to Edwina and take her numbers and let her know she can rest and get over what it is she has. I place my numbers on my chest and back and walk back to Lissa and Joel.
