Mila’s Pov

I’m sitting in my office and doing some pack work. I’ve just had a meeting with Alpha Leon of Crimson Sky pack about where he and his pack will live now that they’re under my protection. Alpha Leon and his whole pack have moved to my city after the rogue attack on his pack. My sister Kara has left us to go home and talk to Asher about moving to Riverbend too. Something bad is going on and it’s better to stay at the same place than to be a part. There’s strength in numbers as my father used to tell me when he trained me to become the next Alpha of Silver Moon pack. My mind drifts back on what happened this morning, when I marked Mila. I was going to wait a little bit more but Mila woke me up in a very satisfying way, asking me to mark her. So I did and I watched her fall asleep in my arms afterwards. Before I left her I took a look at the mark I had given her. It is the most beautiful mark of a wolf standing on a mountain ledge howling at the full moon. Every mark is a different shape, some with more details than others depending on the rank of the Werewolf and how strong the Werewolf is. I smile for myself when I think about my mark on Mila’s neck. Next step is for my mother to step down as Luna and move over the title to Mila. Just thinking about the two of us ruling the pack together makes my heart swell with pride.

Knock, Knock.

Mila steps in with a big smile before I can answer her to come in. I smile back and beckons her to come to me. I pull her down my lap and hide my face in the crease of her neck and draw in her special scent.

“Mm I love your smell princess. So tell me, how do you feel after this morning”

“I feel amazing, Kade. I can see better, hear better and all the smells are so much stronger. In fact, all my senses are better after you marked me and I think my own powers are stronger too”

“That’s because of my Werewolf blood. A part of my blood was transferred to you when I marked you so don’t be surprised when you heal faster than normal when you’re hurt. And with me being an Alpha you’ll become almost as strong as the majority Werewolf too”

“Wow, that's awesome. Here I was afraid that I was going to be a weak Luna but now I have your Werewolf traits and my own powers. Now I feel that I can be the Luna this pack diserves”

Mila puts her arms around my neck and looks down at my lips with a mischievous smile. She leans forward and gives me a deep kiss and I automatically respond and soon enough we’re making out by my desk.

“Wait did you hear that” Mila stops and crane her neck to the side so she can hear better.

I don’t hear anything and I want her lips on mine again so I take her face in my hands.

“I didn’t hear anything so come back here because I’m not done making out with you princess”

Mila laughs and leans into me again letting our lips meet again.

Unknown’s Pov

I see how Luna Mila makes her way down to Alpha Kade’s office. I quietly follow her, using my Werewolf stealth. I have been stalking her without her noticing it. Listening to all of her conversations. I see her walk into the office. I look around waiting for some pack members to pass me before I slink into a secret space next to the office. I’m pretty sure they used to use this space as a storage room a long time ago but have forgotten it as time passed by. I came by this space one day when I was a child and played hide and seek with Alpha Kade, Beta Nathan and third in command Pete. We were all children then and I was so proud that I found such a great hiding place. Suddenly I heard voices and I turned around in the dark and saw some light and walked over to it. I was standing in front of a ventilator that was connected to the Alpha Bruce office. He was talking to his beta and his third in command about some other pack further up north that needed help with their alcoholic Alpha. After that I often used this space to listen in on the conversations that were going on in there. Just as I’m going to do now. I quietly close the door and sneak to the ventilator, listening to everything they say.

Oh so she’s marked, damn it that makes the plan a little bit harder. I really need to tell my mate about this new event. I think there’s a need for some change in our plan but I know my mate will come up with something.

Hm she was saying something after Werewolf traits but I couldn’t hear it because of Kade moving his chair at the same time. Never mind, I'm sure it wasn’t important anyway. Okay, so she’ll have some traits because of the mark. Everyone who’s not a Werewolf gets that so me and my mate don’t need to worry about that. The problem now is that Alpha Kade can reach out to Luna Mila through the mark. So it will be harder to hide her, not impossible but definitely harder. Suddenly a heavy sound is heard when I drop my phone on the floor.

“Wait did you hear that”

“I didn’t hear anything so come back here because I’m not done making out with you princess”

I move closer to the ventilation and peeks through the cracks. I look at them making out with so much hate in my dark eyes. Soon little Luna your happiness will turn to hell and your precious Alpha will become weak and useless as the leader of this pack.

Raven’s Pov

I close the door and when I turn around I stand face to face with Luna Mila. I look her up and down before I walk past her making sure to bump her shoulder really hard. I’m just about to find my brother when Alpha Kade mind links me.

“Can you come to my office Raven, I have something to discuss with you”

“I’m coming Alpha”

I turn around and make my way to his office and knock on the closed door.

“Enter”

“I’m here Alpha” I say, stepping into his office with a questioning look.

“Good Raven, please sit down because I have something I want you to do for me”

I take a seat in front of his office desk and wait for him to continue, having a small feeling that I won’t really like whatever he’s about to ask of me.

“I want you to train Mila in combat. Now that she’s marked she will become just as strong as most Werewolves and after the rogue attacks I think it’s a good idea to teach her to fight”

I look at Alpha Kade in disbelief. Did he really just say that he wants me to teach one of the persons I hate most to fight? He knows how I feel about her and still he asks this of me. What the heck, why is he doing this. If I say no he will use his Alpha rank to make me accept what he’s asking of me and I hate that. I look down at the floor, trying to hide the hate I’m feeling right now. I regain control of my emotions and look up at Kade again and give him a slight nod.

“As you want Alpha, when will this training start”

“Tomorrow after breakfast and before the warrior training. You can leave now”

I give him one last look and leave his office and right up to my room. I was supposed to meet my brother Nathan but he has to wait. Right now I need to be for myself and do something about my mood. I sit down in front of my vanity mirror just staring at my face. My dark eyes are burning with intense anger. If looks could kill somebody would be dead right now. I slam my hand into the mirror, breaking it to pieces. I swear that I’ll get my revenge one way or another.

Mila’s Pov

Me and Kade’s mother are visiting the packs day care center and enjoying playtime with the pups. As soon as she saw my mark she immediately began training me for the Luna role. One task for Luna is to visit the day-care center and interact with the pups and the Omega’s that’s taking care of them. So now I’m sitting here with all the pups surrounding me and reading them a fairytale. If this is all it takes to be a Luna I know I’m going to crush it.

“And so they lived happily ever after, the end”

“Again, again” All the pups chanted, making me laugh.

“No more stories but we can play another little game called 20 questions. Each one of you can ask me one question, about me or about anything you always wanted to ask okay”

“Where are you from Luna, my parents told me that you are from another world”

“Yes they’re right, I’m from another realm and from a land called Sweden. I was running from some bad people and while I was running I saw this light and ran towards it and suddenly the light became very bright so I had to close my eyes. When I opened my eyes I was here in Isteria”

“Do you miss it it, the place you came from”

“Not the place but I do miss my parents, I never got the chance to say goodby to them and I wonder how they are”

“Are you happy here in Isteria”

“Yes I’m really happy here in Isteria. I’m happy that I belong to your pack and I’m happy that Alpha Kade is my mate”

As I speak Kade’s name he walks into the day-care making sparks flow through my body. His smell hits me and I start to smile even before I turn around and see him coming in. All the pups call out his name and swarming all around him.

“Alpha Kade, Alpha Kade, we just played 20 questions with your mate Luna Mila. Did you know that she’s from a different realm and from a land called Sweden”

“And did you know that she’s happy that you’re her mate”

“Oh she’s happy that I’m her mate. No I didn’t know that so thank you for telling me”

“Are you here to read us a story too Alpha Kade”

“No little one, I’m actually here to talk to my mate about something important so I need to borrow her from you”

Kade extends his hand for me to take and we leave the day care hand in hand.

We are slowly walking back to the pack house enjoying the nice weather outside.

“I have been thinking about the rogue attacks and about you. I want you to learn how to fight and I asked Raven to teach you “

I stop walking and look at Kade in shock. Did he really just say that he wants Raven to teach me how to fight? Is going crazy or something.

“You want Raven to teach me how to fight. Raven as in the girl who hates me for being human and your mate. Have you gone mad Kade”

“No I haven’t. Raven is the strongest warrior of the pack so that’s why I want her to teach you. And not only that, I think that when she sees how strong you have become after I marked you, she will become a little bit nicer to you. You’re the perfect person to show her that not all humans are weak and defenseless princess”

“But I don’t want to be alone with her. I don’t trust her at all. What if she takes this as an opportunity to hurt me. I mean, she is teaching me how to fight so giving me bruises and a black eye won’t be suspicious at all”

“My mother can look over your first training. And if you still feel uneasy I tell Kara to train with you okay. I want you to be prepared for all kinds of attacks. Your mental shield may protect you from supernatural attacks but what if someone attacks you physically when you’re not ready for it. It’s too late to use your mental shield then”

“I hear what you’re saying and I know you’re right about that. I will train with Raven as long as Kara is with me everytime. Do you know when she and her pack is going to be here”

“The day after tomorrow so I’ll ask my mother to be with you for your first training tomorrow and stay there all the time. I promise you, you won’t have to be alone with Raven”

Kade gives me a kiss and we start walking again.

Jade’s Pov

I’m cleaning up after all the guests, it’s been a great evening in Silver Moon tavern.

Wednesday use to be a busy night, with a lot of my friends coming by for an after work drink or many after work drinks. I hear the door to the tavern open and I turn around and see Orlak walking in. I smile at him and beckon him to take a seat at one of the tables.

“I didn’t see you today, I really missed you”

“Yes, my mother asked me for a favor so I had to visit my cousins up north”

“And yet you decided to come by as soon as you came back, I’m honored”

I’m looking at Orlak, taking in his facial features. He's not very handsome but he has this magnetic pull on me. I love his rough look and his grey eyes that hold so much empathy and intelligence. I love his big hands, hands I’ve been fantasizing about many nights. And his lips, his big lips that I just want to kiss over and over again. I’ve never done anything about my fantasies but something tells me that tonight it’s the right time for taking our friendship to the next level. I’m standing on my Balcony, watching all the pack members make themself ready to move out of our territory. My brother has asked us to come and live in Riverbend because he’s worried over the rogue attack on Crimson Sky pack. And to be honest so am I, our pack is way too small to stand up against a rogue attack. So living in Riverbend is the smartest choice. As my father used to say, there’s strength in numbers. I told the pack members to only pack clothes and leave the rest behind because we want to leave as soon as we can. It takes two days to drive to Riverbend so we have to move out today. Asher walks up to me and puts his hand on my shoulder and squeezes, leaving sparks flowing right through me. God I love him so much, he’s my biggest supporter and he makes me feel so secure. I touch the mark I got from him. I follow the shape of my mark, I feel the shape of a wolf running over a field under my fingers. The shape of his wolf running over a field, strong and confident. I look at him with a smile feeling calm with him beside me. My mate, my true love and my soul mate that I met when me and my family were invited to a prom in another city.

I smile at the memory and I thank our Moon Goddess that she gave me Asher as my mate.

“It’s time to take the road now. We will drive for many hours before we can rest for the rest of the night” Asher says and looks at all the pack members.

Everyone jumps in their cars while Asher takes my hand in his and gives me a reassuring look.

“Everything will be alright my love, come let us move, we’ll be back here as soon it’s safe to move back”

Asher gives me a quick kiss and we enter our car and drive away from our home without looking back.
