The shopping spree was better than I had expected; the ladies were fun and more responsive to suggestions than when in the suite and being the nurse and nanny; they did not act like I was the boss and had to do all that I suggested, but gave feedback and ideas too. I miss Bethany; she was more like a sister than a step-daughter, and though she said she did not like to go shopping, she could shop better than anyone I know, bartering with shop owners at the markets getting better prices, it did not matter that we could afford to pay the asking price. Bethany said it was an insult not to barter at some shops and argued that was what markets were all about bartering. The shop owners never seemed offended by her haggling for a better price, and it was fun once I got used to it.
