Alik turned and looked at the person who entered the room. He held his breath, and he did not move an inch. Instead, he just stared at her as she stepped one at a time.
She slowly stepped towards him and halted when she was a few meters away. The face of Alik was hard to read. He was neither happy nor sad to see her. He also did not greet her as he normally did. Instead, he stood straight, cold, and emotionless.
Seeing his lack of emotion, Elisha became more anxious. She gulped, clearing her throat, “Um…” she gasped and asked, “You will not go back to the palace tonight?”
