Alaric’s pov
I was stunned when I smelled the tell-tale signs of my beloved. I didn’t even want to see anyone, but dad insisted we went to the small gathering to give Danica some support as she is in the same position as we are.
Danica has always been a lovely woman, so I agreed for her. I mean, at least we have each other. She is on her own now. We are in the unique position of knowing exactly what she feels like at the moment and how ashamed we feel because of them.
