The word cut off their conversation in finality. It was the clearest thing she’d said since coming to.

She paused again, giving Abe a chance to look smug and Carlin time to get over his shock at her sharing her feelings.

Carlin’s face was grave, but he nodded nonetheless.

She nodded once in acknowledgement before turning to Abe.

Abe seemed lost in thought, jumping at her request.
“Yeah, let me get them. I integrated some of the data from last night while you were out of it. You should be able to walk.”
