Although I had prepared my heart and my spirit to deny furthering a relationship with Jack, it did not mean my feelings for him had suddenly vanished. This made sitting in i relive how I had found Jack… My body froze as I stood just over the threshold of the door. The steam from the shower had been absent upon the mirror, telling me the water had since turned cold. But the lack of steam was the last detail of the entire scene that my mind gathered, as I saw Jack's body on the bottom of the shower; blood covering his body.  For a moment, I wasn't sure if he had slipped and hit his head or if someone had done this to him.
