I managed to evade Luke for the remainder of the day as I hid out within my bedroom and that of Lila’s nursery-locking the doors behind me everywhere I went. I knew that I would be too weak to turn him down again and so I decided that this distance would be best. However, keeping this distance also did make my heart grow fonder of him. The memories in my mind that had allowed me to keep this hatred against him and reverted back to the ones that made me fall in love with him. But it wouldn’t be these memories that led me to remember the kind of man he was-that rememberance would be accompanied in a moment he spent with Lila.
“I really messed up things with your mom…” He spoke while unaware that the baby monitor had been unintentionally positioned to watch him perfectly. My curiosity grew
