Jaden led Nila through the overgrown bushes by the side of the gardens, following the length of the fence. Their progress was slow due to the thick bushes and trees but they were glad for the cover provided by the trees.
“We have to be quiet…we don’t know how long she’ll be unconscious,” Jaden whispered to Nila and she merely nodded. She used the shovel to push aside some of the thorny bushes as they trudged through the overgrowth.
“Where is Cindy?” she asked Jaden after a few more minutes of walking through the bushes.
“She’s nearby, I hid her under some thick bushes,” Jaden replied.
Nila let out a soft gasp. “What do you mean? Is she okay? Please, lets go get her,” she whispered furiously, stopping entirely and pulling on Jaden to look at her.
