I pull up to Maya’s house at quarter to 8, way earlier than we had agreed, but I had woken up early and could not sleep and the thought about taking her breakfast to give her a boost before starting her assignment had come into my mind. And when I called to see if she wanted some breakfast and heard how her day had started, I was glad I had thought of it now. I felt terrible she had been woken so early, it seemed our son was quite the monkey. Waking his mama early, getting her up, only to go back to sleep himself once she was wide awake. But I guess that is kids, and no doubt I would be learning that now.
