There was an undeniable electrical force that filled the room as Marissa’s eyes lit up. The doctor smiled as he watched her, then us. “So…?” He waited for an answer to his question but I think we were all in shock.
“Me!” Cole blurted out, snapping us back to reality as he shook his head at us. “tsk, tsk, poor wolves.”
“Oh yeah, me.”

We all chimed in one after the other.
Cole leaned over to Marissa, mockingly sniffing the air. “See, I was right.”
The doctor who had turned to open the door, snapped his eyes around, raising an eyebrow at them.
Cole widened his eyes, held up his hands in surrender as he slowly backed away, causing us to snicker.
