Chloe POV
“I want you to pack a few of your things later.”
Devon says.
“Where are we going?”
“Out of town.” He simply answers.
“Why?”
I can’t be with him alone. Whenever he attempted to talk to me in the house, I used Zoe as an excuse so he can’t talk to me alone. I always lured him with Zoe’s cuteness that he forgot to say something and ended up spending time with her.
I always excused to do household chores and let him spend his time with his daughter. Though doing household chores is unnecessary since he has the stay out housekeepers.
“I don’t want to leave for a few days without you and Zoe so pack your things that are good for two days and two nights.”
“Wait- Is that why you postponed your business trip?”
