When Carter woke up, all she heard was arguing. Her head was aching and her chest hurt. Still though, she weakly opened her eyes to see that she was in yet another hospital bed. The sun was now up, letting Carter see Dawn sitting in the corner of the room, crying her eyes out as Toby tried to comfort her. Joey and Lucas stood at the foot of her bed, arguing
"I mean he's gone!" Joey snapped. "Bastard left this morning before we could get him."
"You were on patrol!" Lucas yelled. "How could you let him get away?"
"We had just figured out what Carter meant and then he was gone," Joey yelled. "It's not my fault!"
Carter sat up. "Stop fighting!" she yelled. Everyone but Dawn looked at her, stopping the fighting.
"Cart," Joey came over. "How do you feel?" He put on a fak
