“You think anything will actually happen?” Carter asked through the mid link. Her fur brushed Joey's, both of them staring straight ahead.
“I don't know,” he admitted. “There haven't been any sightings for a few days.” He yawned.
She frowned. “Wasn't Toby supposed to be on patrol tonight?”
He nodded. “Yeah but Dawn has been having her morning sickness at night so we traded so he could be there with her. I get to spend most of the afternoon with Echo.”
She smiled. “Everyone is finding love now. Even Toby.”
“It truly is incredible.”
