SARAH'S POV
I slumped my body when I got inside my bedroom. I breathe in and exhale so deep to get myself ready. No, more like getting my heart ready for this dinner, and so I get up and change my clothes and then brush my hair.
'For sure, she's more beautiful today than before.' My inner self said, losing my confidence.
I looked at myself in the mirror. I'm short compared to her model-like height. No wonder they love to call me, little. I have my natural long wavy hair. My skin is fair as well, but not like hers. She's like a living snow white. I am no match for her, really, just simply glad that she's nice to me. That's why I don't feel any insecurities. I just sighed and raised an eyebrow at my reflection.
"No, insecurities, huh?" I whispered.
"Little sweet?" Andrew called me from the outside of my room.
"Yes? Come in." And the door opens, showing Andrew with his handsome smile, with his jaw and facial lines are just so perfect.
"Are you done? Therese wants to see you." He told me with his sparkling eyes.
"Yeah! Where is she?" I asked, letting out a bit of excitement in my voice, and so the door opened wider, and Therese came out grinning at me.
"Oh, my God! I missed you, Sarah! So much! How are you? Do you have a boyfriend already?" She quickly inquired while hugging me.
"No! No, she's not ready yet. She's not allowed yet! Come on. She's still a student. Not now. Just not yet." Andrew immediately answered for me.
"I'm not asking you." Therese slightly elbowed Andrew and eyed him.
"Babe, you know what, I think you should help your mom downstairs while we have a girl's talk." She stated, looking at me smiling.
"We have a lot of things to catch up on." She added.
"Fine." he gave up, putting his hands up to surrender.
He looked between Therese and me before he turned around and leave
"Wow! I missed you," Therese said, hugging me tightly.
"I missed you, too," I replied, smiling.
"Look at you! You look more beautiful. How I wish you applied that beauty in its purpose already." She told me, sitting on the bed.
"Thank you, but what do you mean by implying for its purpose?" I asked, wondering.
"Come on. You know what I mean." She said, smiling while putting both of her hands in the back to hold up her body in the bed, while I raised an eyebrow, waiting for an explanation.
"Get laid already!" She cried, laughing out loud. My eyes widened while putting both hands on my face. I felt my cheeks getting hot because of her sudden words.
"Oh my God, Sarah, you should see your face!" she cried, laughing so hard.
"This is so embarrassing. I can't believe you just said that! Well, I already said yes to a date, but never in my entire imagination to get laid yet!" I retorted, trying to hide the shame.
"Really!? Who is this lucky guy, huh?" She abruptly stood up, waiting for an answer.
"Damian," I let out.
"Oh my! The handsome varsity boy?" She asked, surprised.
"Yes?"
"Finally! So when is it?" She inquired impatiently.
"I don't know yet, but I already promised him I'll go out with him one of these days because, you know, I always turned him down every time he asked me, so I just thought it's about time," I explained.
"I don't know what to say. I'm just glad." She said, smiling.
"Thanks!"
"Sarah, can I ask you something?" She suddenly asked in a low voice.
We're now both sitting on the bed.
"Sure! What is it?"
"Just promise me you will not going to judge me."
"Why? Is there something wrong?" I asked, confused by her words. She let out a deep sigh before she spoke.
"What do you think Andrew would feel if I broke up with him?"
"What!? But why!? Don't you love him anymore?" I asked, unbelievably and shocked by her revelation.
"Of course, I love him, but I get this opportunity to play a lead role, and I don't know when I'll be coming back. I just thought that I didn't want it to be unfair to him and left him alone. He deserves to be free and happy." She explained with so much sadness in her voice.
"I understand, congratulations by the way," I said in a low voice.
"Thanks."
"I honestly don't know what to say, but I understand. You worked hard for that."
"Yeah, I did." She agreed, looking down.
I can feel that it is hard for her too, but she also has a dream, and maybe for her, it is more important than her love life. I held her hands and slightly squeezed them. I smiled, looking at her.
"Hey! It's okay. He loves you. Just talk to him. He'll understand for sure." She smiled back and pulled me in a tight hug.
"Thanks! But even if I am not around you, I still demand you to update me on your date." She demanded, breaking the hug. I just chuckled.
We talked mostly about what she missed while she's away, and she told me a lot of stories, especially about her newfound friends there. Until we decided to go downstairs to help mom in the kitchen, but before I reached the kitchen, Michelle called out for me,
"Sarah,"
"What is it?" I asked, approaching her direction.
"Look, your secret admirer sent you another bunch of flowers!" She excitedly announced and handed it to me. Therese also looked at the flowers, sniffing them.
"Secret admirer, huh?" She dramatically murmured while giving me a sly smile.
I already knew who sent it. There is the only person who always keeps on giving me red tulips with lilacs, and it is Peter.
"What's the matter with you? Aren't you happy?" Therese asked, referring to my casual expression.
"She's always like that. I'm starting to feel sorry for that guy who made an effort just to impress her," Michelle commented, looking sharply at me.
"I don't know. This person always sent me flowers, but I never felt so excited about it. I just don't know why." I honestly told them and sighed. I saw Andrew take a glance at me but quickly take it back.
'He doesn't care about it, or if he does, it's just a brother's actions towards you.' I really hate my sexy brain for mocking me like this.
"Maybe because you don't know who he is?" She guessed.
"I think so?" I said, shrugging my shoulders.
I just can't tell them that I knew who sent it. I am worried about what Peter might feel if he knew I was not that excited about receiving his present. Only if he includes his name and confesses that it is him, I will confront him. I will tell him not to continue this anymore, but how can I act like I didn't know the sender?
