It seemed like she struggled to say the next part, as if admitting it was painful and pleasant all rolled into one new feeling, one she couldn’t quite explain.  “It’s like I can kind of be myself even though I don’t really know who I am yet.”  William shook his head, needing clarification as to what it was she meant then. How didn’t she know who she was?  “I know some things,” she sighed. “Like what’s happened so far but these experiences don’t define me,” she paused, looking for the right words to say.  Her hair tumbled back from the bun it had been in when she looked at the ceiling as if it would give her the answers she required.  “I guess I just kind of feel lost here, like I don’t belong, not even with them,” she paused, “with my family.” “Belonging is overrated,” William sighed
