CHAPTER V - SIDE A: THE GOLDEN SEED (1)         “How do you think Marlina is?” Amsiret asks.          “What a dumb question” answers Arac. “I don't know, beautiful perhaps. Don´t you think?”         “I´m talking about what´s her soul like” the god of air continues. “Her mind, her feelings. What intentions she has in her heart, what does she loves, or what she doesn't. What makes her smile, what makes her sad. I mean, how can the personality of someone who has been waiting a hundred rimerians* for this would be like?”       "Well, I don't know, either" responds Arac. “That doesn´t worry me at all. She only wants a man to act like a king, and after so long, her eyes will drop quickly when she sees one like me. You know, one with an attitude like mine. Just look at me! She will surely be stunned by these muscles.”     "You look like you haven´t eaten for days" says Amsiret with a laugh. “What if we ask Elgoneth? He knows his sister very well.”     "You are really a coward" exclaims the God of Plasma. “A true man has no need to prepare. A real man is ready to improvise. You embarrass me every day more, we are no longer mortals! Understand that! You´re a shame!”    “And your ego won't even let you breathe!” Amsiret replies. “You only think about yourself! Do you think that with that attitude you are worthy to raise a new kingdom?”   "Go to sleep" exclaims Arac. “You are, as usual, too nervous. But well, better for me. Forty days yet to go to the island, and we already know who the winner is!”   “Shut up, ungrateful!” Amsiret answers. “That throne will never be yours!”   “Say what you want little brother” answers Arac yawning. “What you give me, it's disappointment.”     Amsiret, enraged, cast a spell that knocked his brother out of bed. He turned around, and went to the outskirts of the exclusive Assembly, where the chosen souls were sheltered, as the day of inculcation approached.        This night, was a silent one. As they usually were the nights upon the beautiful, but empty Assembly. Plenty of rooms, plenty of sacred chambers; several dining halls, some of them with chairs made of bronze and silver, and yet, the place were only the brothers and the Architect of Creation.        At midnight, Amsiret went to one of the balconies of the beatific place, one of its highest points. He took a glimpse of the great horizon from the night among the skies, for the golden congregation was suspended at the top of the firmament. And on the edge of the balcony, showing only his back to Amsiret, was found the God of Life. The creator of destiny, the mind of Ïnmâeh*; and Amsiret, decided to take advantage of the situation, and asked the god his hesitant question.      "Can't you sleep, Amsiret?" the deity asks, before the latter could say a word.     "No, sir" exclaims the god of the air. “I’m raving for the big day. I must confess, I can't stop thinking about it.”    "No amount of anxiety can change the future, my son" the being responds.   "I know, sir" replied Amsiret. “It's just that, it weighs a lot on my conscience. You know, being the best man for her. But this sometimes makes me suffer, especially with Arac, because I don't understand why life has put me to compete against someone so egotistical.”   "You have a noble heart, Amsiret" answers the god, with his profiled face. “You have good intentions, that's why you suffer. This world knows no mercy for intentions. This world only cares about your ability to survive, to adapt, to demonstrate how strong you really can be. You have to take it, or leave it.”    The god of the air was saddened, for he could not believe that his good will was not recognized, and never would be. Elgoneth then, perceived this energetic slump, and continued speaking with his chosen one.   "Listen, I was saving this for the triumphant" says the supreme god. “But I already know which of the two is the one whom will succeed.”     "Here" Elgoneth exclaims. “It´s a golden seed; a divine bud of Egmeon, the god of the earth. I have asked for it myself, as the beginning of the Venerable Sacred Tree, the first of its generation. As a symbol of victory, for the new nation of Adnia. The gods and humans will be able to coexist in it, thanks to the harmony found in this seed, which will spring from the branches and roots of this future giant tree.”     "It's perfect" says Amsiret. “How do I know when to plant it?”    "You must be patient" exclaims the supreme god. “For it shouldn't be sown after time, and definitely not before. For when the day arrives for this seed to be sown, it would not be the day its fruits will be glimpsed. When the time comes, you will know. But be careful, for she has a consciousness of her own. And it is very likely that she is elusive with you. You are not the only one destined to emerged with it.”      "Wait, is that all?" asks Emerita.      "Yes" says Arac, looking himself in the mirror "the rest is, and will continue to be, history."     “What history?” exclaims the confused woman. “How did the seed get into that chest?”     "I stole it from my brother's slow hands" says the man. “He thinks he lost it! And don´t want to say a word, for he was warned by Elgoneth. You see how dumb he is?  He didn't deserve so much power.”    "What?! What are you talking about ?!" asks the woman. “Why did you do that?!”     “Because I am the winner, my beloved!” Arac replies. “Can´t you see it? I am much more powerful than Amsiret, and this victorious seed is too much for him. He doesn't know how to handle this energy, because he is nowhere near being like me. But don´t worry about him, because I am a good king, I will give him the General Rank for my kingdom´s army.”      “Besides, I feel sorry for the poor man” continues Arac. “He still don't understand how this game works, even as a god.”     "That is not what I asked you" says Emerita. “That seed was assigned to your brother, how did you keep that seed?!”      "That seed started looking for me, since Elgoneth gave it to my brother in advance" he continues. “The fact that he broke his own rules, is what made me the winner, instantly. No resentments with the Architect, but they both can smell defeat in the air. It is written, Emerita. And you are fortunate to be the first being to witness the start of the great Aravir Nation; the new Empire of Solari. Which will formally start from tomorrow, when I plant that seed, and miraculously sprout in that magical tree. And you will see how on the 15th day of the Fierr Cycle, she will complete her own gigantic creation. And from that day on, her indestructible energy will flow throughout the island, and I will soon be crowned as the new great king. I will marry the queen of the rivers, and we will form together this new nation.”    "But don't cry my love" says the man. “You will reign with me from this palace, because I have built it only for you. You are a mortal, and you know we can't be together. But I believe in you Emerita. I see potential in you, and once, I was also a mortal. So I understand you perfectly. It is unfair for you to be left out. So rest easily, since you will be the queen of all mortals and the eternal leader of this new earth race, which we will initiate together. I won't leave you alone. “In fact, I have something even better” continues Arac, as he took Emerita to his great balcony. “We will both start, a new race.”   “Behold, the fabled air of this palace” exclaims Arac. “Here we will form the foundations of the new sorcerers and sorceresses. Here we will begin your kingdom, our kingdom. Here we will rise, and our generations will flawlessly sing the chores of our names. And with our tones, we will spread our beautiful offspring throughout their own nation, our nation. A single blood, unified towards a single cause. And they will be all my children. I´ve foreseen it, princess, and it´ll be my own service to guide them all, like I´ve guided you, to find themselves in the prosperity of this new legacy. In the midst of this sacred kingdom. You will belong here, upon these heights, protected forever. And you will acquire all the powers of this mythical palace. I will take your name to the highest, for being the first to believe in me. And although I do not know the presumptions of the Goddess of Light, these are my conditions, for I will not allow any harm on you. Your energy will be respected by everyone, for you´ll be forever my queen. The legendary Founder of Solari. This, is my promise to your love, our love.”     The woman did not think twice, and kissed the inspired chosen king, for his daring words, and the firmness with which he saw his future, melt down her heart in the currents of passion. And at the top of the impressive palace of crystals, the one of a kind,  passionate love, was vividly consummated.
