Serena reluctantly crawled into the bed, still clad in her hospital gown. She curled up in a small ball, placing the sheets and blanket over her, before closing her eyes and feeling sleep overtake her. She began to dream.
She was running, through the forest and over twigs and leaves, barefoot, the leaves crunching beneath her feet. She could sense him, he was behind her, not far behind and she heard his low growl as he raced towards her. She renewed her efforts but she was heavily pregnant, her stomach swollen, her breathing heavy and full of exertion. Her blonde hair was matted and full of sweat. She felt cramping pains along her abdomen and cried out, placing her hands beneath her stomach as she continued to run to the best of her ability.
