Caden rushed out of the smoke-filled warehouse and outside. There the chaos seemed somewhat confined. Soldiers had ten men on their knees and securely tied, while others directed the victims to another area where their medic gave them brief checks. Injuries and smoke inhalation were treated on a case-by-case basis. That was where Caden headed, carrying Aria, who remained limp in his arms. “We need help!” Caden said as he reached them. “Right here,” the medic immediately had him lay her on a board and reached to put an oxygen mask over her mouth.
