Caden and Theo sat in silence, listening to the beep of monitoring machines tracking Aria’s vitals. She seemed to be resting comfortably even with the dogs lying on either side of her, much to the hospital staff’s disgust and dismay. But Theo didn’t care. He didn’t know how long they had been sitting in silence, but the smell of smoke and fuel was beginning to give him a headache.
