Kara's POV:
Atticus was walking fast enough that my legs couldn't keep up with his, causing me to stumble once in a while and forcing the pull on my hair to hurt more. I even felt the pain in my shoulder as he held my arm in a very uncomfortable position behind my back. I couldn't stop the tears in my eyes from the pain that I was feeling as he dragged me through the house. I wasn't sure what he was going to do to me but I was certain whatever it was, it would cause a lot of pain.
He dragged me into his bedroom and pushed me so hard that I stumbled into the bedpost, grabbing it as fast as I could to keep myself from falling to the floor.
"How many times do you have to be told to stay away from him!" He shouted at me as his hand came around and hit me in the side of the face.
