Azariah's POV:
As I stood there, she didn't say a word in response to what I had said to her. Almost as if she was hoping that I would think that she didn't know what I had said but I could tell just by the way the tears were forming in her eyes, the way she bit at her bottom lip that she understood me fully. I could even tell that she was wanting to wipe her eyes in hopes of removing the tears before they had a chance to escape but yet, she wouldn't in fear of alerting me of the tears that I had already seen.
"You know what I said, don't you?" I asked her and she slowly nodded her head, causing one of the tears to fall from her eyes.
"You know the language of the first vampire," I told her, not really asking but more like telling her that I already knew.
