Numb, numb is all I feel as I sit staring at the door they have taken my mate into god knows how long ago. I have no concept of time or much else right now, Ember is devastated inside me doing all she can to keep going and protect our little one.
I can sense Julius next to me every now and again as he tries not to break down. Our friends came to wait with us, but it barely registered with me. I know at one point they tried to talk to me, but all I could see was their lips move and no sound reached me.
