Chapter 13

1949 Words
*Celina’s POV*  A lycan. That’s what Victor called me. Instead of being a normal werewolf…I ended up transforming into a lycan. But why do I hear two distinct voices in my head. I was always under the impression of a wolf and a human. Victor held me close against his body, his warmth keeping me warm as well. My body felt worn out and weak, and every single muscle and bone in my body ached.  I wasn’t sure how to feel about everything. He rejected me to protect me, but failed either way. My parents and his parents knew all along about what could happen. Was this why the Alpha didn’t want werewolves to accept their human mates? Is that why Amelia rejected Tommy as well? I wonder if he’s the same as me. My eyes slowly began to close, the adrenaline completely leaving my body.  “It’s okay Lina…I got you” Victor whispered as I inched my head closer to his neck, nuzzling him slightly. My eyes shot open at that moment as I noticed he had no shirt on. Actually…I had no shirt….he had no pants…I had…oh my Lord! “Uh…you can put me down and close your eyes….” I screeched embarrassed. I felt his chest rumble as he chuckled, clutching me tighter.  “Your parents have some clothes for you. Don’t worry, I didn’t see anything” Victor answered amused. My face must’ve been red as a tomato at that point as I hid my face against his chest. Could things get anymore awkward at this point? Maybe I should stop jinxing myself since I heard my mom calling to me at that exact moment.  “Is she alright?” my mother questioned worried. “For now yeah. She needs a shirt or something” Victor responded. “I have a robe ready” my father spoke as I felt the soft fabric sliding over me. Victor gently lowered me to the ground and I wrapped the robe around me tightly, unable to look at any of them in the eye. I felt Victor move away and quickly peeked through the corner of my eye, watching him slip on some basketball shorts and a shirt.  “Alpha, Victor, I think it’s best if we head home and speak about this there.” My father added. “Of course Richard. We’ll be there shortly. We’re going to let the hospital know she’s found and safe” Alpha spoke. My mother wrapped an arm around my shoulder gently as she motioned for me to walk with her. My head was hurting from all these new feelings and sensations. How come I was different than a normal human? Why did my parents hide this from me all along? Quietly we made our way back home. My father went off to prepare coffee as my mom led me to the bathroom and helped me with a shower.  I noticed the cast was gone over my collarbone and shoulders, and actually the pain of the injury was gone as well. “Once you went through the change, your healing abilities kicked me” my mother spoke, as if she was reading my mind. She led me to my room and helped me get changed into comfortable pajama pants and a tank top. I sat on the bed, rubbing my forehead.  “Why did you keep this from me?” I asked my mother. She looked at me sadly as she sat down next to me. “Once the Alpha and Victor show up, we’ll explain everything from the beginning.” My mother spoke. I groaned frustratingly, as I wanted answers now, not after the entourage arrived. My mother chuckled softly, brushing a strand of hair away from my face.  I heard the doorbell and my father calling for us. My mother stood up and grabbed my hand, both of us heading down the stairs to the living room. I saw victor had changed into a pair of jeans and a olive shirt, my eyes wandering down his torso for a second before averting my gaze. Before I could even get to the sofa I was engulfed into a warm embrace, the soft tingles zinging throughout my body. Was that how rejection was supposed to be? I sighed, slowly wrapping my arms around Victor’s waist.  Eventually someone cleared there throat and we reluctantly pulled apart. The Alpha looked at us before looking at my parents, and it was odd how they were looking at each other. Sitting down on the opposite end of my parents, Victor never left my side as he sat down next to me. “Well I’m sure you have a lot of questions Celina, but first thing’s first. Did you accept Victor’s rejection?” questioned the Alpha. I swallowed hard, remembering that painful moment before slowly nodding.  “Do you still feel the bond?” my mother asked me. I looked at Victor, then back to my mother. “Slightly…it’s not as strong as before. The tingles I mean. I can feel almost a buzz upon contact, but it’s not as shocking as before” I tried to explain. “It’s the same with me” Victor added as he kept his gaze on me.  “That’s strange” my father spoke up. “Normally after both parties reject, the bonds are fully severed between wolves” he continued. “Um…” I started. “What if…there’s more than one?” I asked. “What do you mean?” the Alpha spoke. “More than one wolf?” I answered more like a question. “Normally lycan or wolf only have one” The Alpha explained. “I have two voices…both female…but completely different” I said. The trio looked at each other confused before looking at me.  “What do you mean?” my mother asked again. “Are you saying you can communicate with two separate wolves?” Victor questioned this time. I nodded. “I’m guessing one is a wolf and the other a lycan.” “What are their names?” I looked at Victor, raising an eyebrow. “I’m sure the lycan specifically told you that you have no right knowing their names after that rejection.” I reminded him, crossing my arms.  “So Victor must’ve only rejected one and not the other” my mother concluded thoughtfully. “Yeah…he rejected the wolf, but not my lycan part is what I can guess, since neither one seems to be more forthcoming on this peculiar situation” I huffed annoyed.  “This is the first time in our history that something like this has happened.” Alpha Marcus spoke after a brief moment of silence. “Three spirits coexisting in one body instead of two” my father added. I shrugged, unsure how to respond. “I’m not going through it again” Victor interjected.  Alpha Marcus stared at Victor for a moment. “If I have to reject her again, I won’t do it. I don’t care anymore. I did it to protect her, and it backfired royally. I won’t put her in anymore pain. She’s now a lycan, and all we can do is protect her from potential hunters if they find out about her” I was taken aback by Victor’s fierceness at that moment. ‘Mate is trying to please us…’ my wolf spoke. ‘Mate needs to try harder’ huffed the other wolf. ‘Calypso, don’t get too excited over it’ I reminded my wolf. I wish I knew the lycan wolf’s name, but she is more stubborn than myself and refuses to indulge us on her name.  Alpha Marcus stood up, as well as my parents. “For now, let’s keep this between us only. The less others know about her circumstances, the safer she will be until we can figure out why she has two spirits instead of one. We can discuss more on the lycan gene and how it can transform you tomorrow.” Alpha looked at Victor sternly. “No marking…no mating…got it?” he warned him, but it was more for the both of us. My face tinted a shade a red at the mention of marking and mating.  “We don’t know what can happen if you two proceed with the bond honey, so for now, try not to get too close to each other, especially with eyes all around you” my mother explained. “What makes you think I even want to be in a relationship with him?” I questioned, pointing my thumb at Victor. Victor’s head snapped towards me in surprise, his expression showing hurt.  “What?” he managed to question. I turned my head towards him. “You heard me. You rejected me once remember. You think I’ll just jump in your arms and say oh Victor take me!” I answered, placing my hand on my forehead and feigning a gasp. My father snorted and tried to keep a straight face, turning his head away to try not to laugh. I saw Victor’s cheeks flush slightly as he shoved his hands in his pockets.  “Oh Celina, that wasn’t very nice” my mother spoke, trying not to laugh as well. Alpha Marcus looked at us amused, a smirk on his face. “We’ll leave you to get some rest Celina” he commented as he patted my head before leaving the living room, my parents following him outside. I looked at Victor from the corner of my eye and he was actually pouting slightly.  “I know I f****d up Lina…” he muttered, kicking an imaginary stone on the floor. “But I’ll make it right…I’ll earn your trust back and show you that we’re meant to be” he lifted his gaze as I met his with my own. I felt a shiver run down my spine, but it wasn’t a bad feeling. It was more of excitement and anticipation of what would come to be in the near future.  “I’ll hold you to that” I answered. He clenched his jaw before he closed the distance between us, his lips pressed against my own in surprise. I squeaked at the sudden sensation flowing through my body, the buzzing tingles sparking something within me that warmed me from within. He pulled away, resting his forehead against his.  “I’ll do whatever it takes to make sure those lips are only mines” he whispered, his voice holding an edge of desire that twisted my center sinfully. I swallowed hard, unsure if I could speak at that moment. “Sleep well” he added before walking away from me, leaving me a puddle of goo in the middle of my own living room. “I hate you” I managed muttered, my cheeks flushed as I felt flustered.
