We had been travelling for four days already, my feet have gone past the point of painful to numb, my body feels a constant hunger that seems to not be able to be satisfied and all my joints ache like they were coated with sandpaper and every time I moved, I could feel my bones grinding away. Kadzait kept insisting that he could carry me, but that would make me look weak and I could not afford for the people I was marching into battle with to see me as weak.
