"Where are we going?"
"Away from here."
Blake was taking Catleya away from the clearing where Alpha Valkan and his Beta were being condemned for treason.
It was few hours ago when they attempted to kill Caspian. But they couldn't outsmart the great alpha, not within his territory. Kira and Caspian did not give Valkan and his beta a chance to win.
Prior to that, Kira was about to let the beta off the hook when she fought against him in the downtown, but when she had learned that Valkan got out of his cage and went to kill Caspian, her human instinct derailed and her Lycan, Artila, took over. That alone had almost killed Valkan's beta. Luckily, Blake intercepted. Otherwise, another problem might occur among Lycans and werewolves as there was a recent Law implemented throughout Lycans' community and werewolves community.
Kira somehow baffled on how alpha Valkan got out of his cell despite of the tight securities they had. But then, the fact that Valkan had escaped and Caspian didn't know about it, made her anxious at that moment.
She saw something from Valkan's mind telling her he was not just an easy foe. Kira couldn't tell anyone even her mate that alpha Valkan's blood had resemblance to Osiris. She did not want him to worry, besides, only few of them had memories about Osiris. Most of them had their memories omitted.
It was only later that afternoon that she found out why Caspian got hurt, but it was just a silly action he did in their bedroom. Caspian was awake when Valkan attempted to kill him. Valkan was too dumb to attack the great alpha. Not even thinking he was not in his own territory. Because of his action, Caspian riled up. But then he halted from putting the judgment in his own hands. He knew it wasn't right and they still have rules that need to follow.
Aside from that, he was already a changed alpha, that's when Kira came into his life.
Currently, Caspian and the Gammas along with the Northern Committees are in a closed door meeting to talk about Alpha Valkan's treachery.
"Blake, you know I will go wherever you go. But, I need to talk to my parents first. Considering this had just happened, I don't want them to worry about me once I'm away."
"Okay. We'll talk to your parents. Let's go."
Blake holds her hand and pulls her with him towards her parents house. But Catleya is hesitant.
"Are you really sure you want about this?"
"Yes."
"But-"
"What's wrong?" Blake pauses as he stares at her.
"What if they won't let me go with you this time, especially now that someone wanted to take me."
"I'm with you, Cat. I'm doing this for us. I thought you want to be with me. Isn't this what you want?"
"It is, Blake. But our situation before was far different than today. Besides, I don't think alpha Caspian would allow you."
"I can talk to him if you want to."
"No! No!"
"Then, let's go and tell your parents about our plan.
"What if they wouldn't allow you? What would you do?"
"Cat-" Blake takes a deep breath. "Alright, just tell me what you want then?"
"I don't know, Blake. I want to be with you. There's no doubt with that. But-"
It can be seen in Catleya's eyes how much she's scared.
"But what, Cat?"
"I'm scared."
Blake immediately pulls her into an embrace. His arms instantly calm her. "What are you scared of? I'm here with you. I won't let anyone take you away. I will protect you."
"I know. But I'm scared of my brothers on what they will do to you. What if they find out about us. What if they'll take you away from me?"
Little do they know, Cody is watching them. He doesn't need to hear what the conversation is all about. Seeing Blake hugging Catleya differently, and remembering why Catleya was mad at Blake, he immediately understands the real status between the two.
Cody then walks closer with only one thing in mind. "Since when you two have a thing?"
"Cody!" exclaims Catleya, while Blake remains casual.
"Since when?!" An angry tone is evident on Cody's voice.
"Were you listening to us all this time?" Blake asks.
Cody 's anger has reached its boiling point as he quickly grabs Blake by his collar shirt.
"Cody!" Catleya tries to intervene.
"Go away, Cat. Leave!" Commands Cody while his grip on Blake's collar has gotten tight.
"No! Please Cody-"
"Let's talk about this, Cody." Blake also tries to calm him.
"Talk? How could you? You're my friend! I trust my sister to you. Knowing you'd protect her as your sister, too! All along you're planning on something behind my back! You sonofa-"
Cody' fist lands on Blake's face but the latter doesn't bother to avoid. Blake understands where Cody is coming from and he knows he's at fault, too.
"Cody, stop!" Catleya once again intervenes as she pulls Cody away from Blake.
"Go away, Catleya!"
"No! I'm not going anywhere!" Catleya puts herself in between the two to block Cody from attacking Blake.
The betrayal look on Cody's face makes Catleya guiltier.
"Piss off, Catleya!"
'But Cody please... Listen whatever-"
But Blake interrupts her. "Cat- Cody and I need to talk. Go to Cierra's house for now. I'll go there later."
"But, Blake-"
"Please... This is about me and Cody, Cat."
Catleya doesn't want to. But, after looking at her brother and Blake, she slowly nods as she hesitantly leaves.
The moment Catleya is no longer in sight, Cody abruptly attacks Blake. "You're f*****g, traitor-"
"Cody, stop!" Blake blocks Cody's fist with his fist, too. "Look, I didn't mean to hide about this. I just don't know how you'd react. I know you love your sister so much."
"Then why did you do it, Blake? Why?"
"I like your sister, Cody."
"She's still young! Did you brainwash her?!"
"No, I did not! She's already at a legal age, Cody. She knows what she's doing. I know she's years younger than me, but I promise, I'll protect her."
"Promise isn't enough, Blake. You'll leave her, too. You'll leave her once you find your mate. I know she isn't your mate, Blake. So stop it!"
"I won't hurt her, Cody."
"Don't give me that effin joke, Blake. You won't hurt her? For goddess' sake! You will! I know you will."
"Leave it to us, Cody. My relationship with Catleya isn't like what you're thinking."
"Damn you!"
Cody's anger has doubled when all Blake does is avoiding his attacks.
"Fight me back, you coward!"
"I'm not gonna fight with you." He doesn't want to hurt Cody, either. Cody might have annoyed him most of the time but he would never intend to hurt him.
"Aaahh." Cody uses his agility.
"What the heck is going on here?!"
Caspian's authoritative voice has both of them halted.
"Blake? Cody?" Luna Kira is with Caspian, too. But Kira has an idea why Cody is so livid.
"Skye." Says Blake, as he looks at Kira.
"What is this all about? Why are you two fighting? Cody?-" Asks Caspian.
"Why don't you ask him?"
"Blake?" Caspian is waiting for his response.
"Can we talk about this in the house?"
