CHAPTER 9~ A WAY TO PAY ME BACK

1251 Words
“How about me? I mean, can I go first?” Everybody twisted towards the sound of the voice…It was him, the man who had her life going into disastrous spirals; Julian. She could barely see his face, but she knew for a fact that it was indeed him. His voice was peculiar; a unique sound that always ignited fear within her. “Who are you?” David pulled his hand away from the waistband of his jeans and glared towards him. “Why the f*ck are you here? Disrupting me…” Julian clicked his tongue. “Why else? I came here to have some fun, but you guys are playing with my f*cking toy.” A deep chuckle reverberated through David’s chest as he roughly shoved her aside and gestured towards his men. “All that talk and she still was selling p*ssy, huh guys? Take care of that fool so I can finish my business here.” His men stepped forward, but stopped when a clicking sound pierced through the air. Larisa’s eyes sought for the source of the sound and what she found had her lungs clogging and her heart almost stopping. She scrambled to her feet and backed away, eying the gun in his hand…that same gun he’d pointed at her once…was he going to use it tonight? Here? Right in her yard? Her breaths were deep as she tried to fill her lungs, but with every breath she took, they felt even more starved. “I bet you wouldn’t want to do that…considering who I am.” David seemed cautious now, even his voice wavered a little as he spoke. “And who exactly are you?” “Is it because of the dark? Or are you three just plain stupid?” Julian took another step forward, the dim light that still managed to flood through her closed windows and her half drawn white curtains illuminating his god-like face. Shock overtook the thugs’ features, each immediately taking a flabbergasted step back. “C-Copper…?” “Right…that’s me. Do you still want to go first? Do you still want to put your c*ck in that mouth that mine hasn’t even touched yet?” “No, I~” “Little reporter…” Julian cut him off, gesturing towards her with the gun. “Come here.” She didn’t move, she felt like she was stuck in her current position. She was too scared; scared of them, but more scared of him. “P-P-Please I…I just want t~” “F*cking come here already, Larisa!” Larisa jumped, rushing towards him in a flash. He grabbed her hand when she got close enough, pulling her flush against his broad and muscular chest. “When I call you, don’t f*cking hesitate.” She nodded, because that was really all she could do… “How much does she owe?” “$70,450...interest that accumulated over the years included.” “833-545**95…call that number, you’ll be paid in full.” David scrambled for his phone in his pocket, quickly typing in the number and then bowing his head. “Thank you…!” Julian scoffed at him, leaning down towards her ears. “Let’s go, angel.” He led her through the gate and towards a car not parked too far away from her house. He opened the back door and used his hand to beckon her inside. She turned to stare at him. “I don’t~” “Get in…” His voice was low yet terrifying. The command hidden behind the deep rasp of his tone had her shuffling into the car. He came in after her, closing the door behind him. Someone was in the driver’s seat, a man in a black suit similar to his. “Sebastian, I gave a couple of fools your number. As soon as they call, kindly kill and dispose of them…and also, make it clear to their boss that what’s mine is off-f*cking-limits after paying him in Larisa’s name.” “Yes sir.” “Drive.” The engine started immediately, and Larisa sat in the corner against the door, as far away from her blackmailer as possible. He looked over at her, she couldn’t see anything, but she knew his dark eyes were on her…she could feel them. “Come sit next to me, Larisa.” Larisa clenched her trembling fists, turning away from him, and pretending she didn’t hear. This man was dangerous, he was going to kill those thugs and one day, he’d kill her to~ A gasp edged her lips when his body suddenly pushed up against hers. His hand reached around her waist, hugging tight. “That must’ve been traumatizing…I’d been watching everything from my car, then decided that it was time to step in when they got physical. Are you okay?” Her lips were shaking, her heart too. “Y-Yes…” “I heard what that old man said too, do you have anywhere else to go?” “No…but I…I’ll find s-somewhere.” “No need, I already prepared a place for you…for us.” “W-What…?” She looked over at him, her eyes drifting around the sharp outline of his face. “What p-place?” “I might frequent hotels, Larisa, but I do own a house. I decided that meeting up in expensive rooms takes too much out of me and you have nowhere to go anyway…so might as well you stay with me. What do you think?” “I d-don’t…I don’t want to live with you…I want this to end, my entanglement with you; I want it to end.” “And then who pays me back that $70,450? You thought I spared your life for free? You have to pay me back, little reporter. seventy days…roughly about two months and two weeks; every day you stay in that house, a thousand dollar comes off the money you owe me. However, if you decide to leave before the time is up, the count will restart, or you’ll have to pay me back in full.” Larisa’s eyes widened. “I didn’t…I never asked you t-to pay. I’ll pay it by myself.” “You didn’t ask me, but I will…after all, if I don’t, those men will hunt you down again and scar you in the most painful way possible.” He reached beneath her chin, holding her face up. “Do you want that, angel?” “N-No…” “Then let me help you…I promise I won’t bite anymore than I’ve already bitten off.” When he leaned down, Larisa should’ve turned away…she’d wanted to, but she was so dumbstruck that she couldn’t even move. His lips pressed against hers…soft and moist, carrying the scent of cigarettes between them. They glided against hers slowly…effortlessly and when he pulled away, she still remained in her spot; silent…dumbstruck… “I might like what I’ve tasted, but I won’t be too greedy, so stay with me.” She nodded her head, a stupid move, but one far less stupid than disobeying him. “Yes…” “Have you eaten?” She nodded again. “Dinner Larisa, have you had dinner yet?” She shook her head and he turned to his driver. “Sebastian, turn the car around. Instead of the house, take me to my restaurant…call in beforehand and tell them I want no one there, the place should be reserved for me and a guest.” “Yes sir…”
