Fire is Blazing

Waking up to confusion

I woke up in a van or bus of some sort I could feel the engine hum and the tiers move as we went over the ground to wherever I was being taken to. I couldn't see, I had a bag over my head, but I could smell gasoline and old burgers I heard Gabriel talking to someone I didn't recognize. I try to scream out for help, but my throat felt like it was on fire. The other man looks back noticing me move,

"Gabriel, she's up."

"Put her to sleep again I don't have time for this." Gabriel sigh then an icy burning wave flood over and then through me my breathing gets slower. I starts to feel my eyes get heavy with the burning yet cold feeling washed over me like a mist, and I was out again.

"Apheina, Apheina, Apheina wake up." I could hear my name being called from an unknown voice it was soothing and tempting I wanted to get closer to it. "Apheina, Aphei, I need you to wake up now." I wanted nothing more than to wake up to see who that voice being too it was a females voice she sounds like honey and her breath on my face was like the warm sunlight hitting me from the between the trees. I tried lifting my lids, but they wouldn't compel.

"Dammit, Jay you pour too much sleeping potion in her now how are we going to wake her up!" I hear a big whack after a woman's voice shouted. Jay must have been the other man in the van.

"It's not my fault Gabriel couldn't reach here all in his own!" Jay shouted back.

"Sky, Jay act right I don't our young guest here waking up to you two stupid twins fighting." Another voice says the soft tone was hard around the edges. He must be an important person because those two went silent. I could feel my head raise as a boney cold hand places a soft cushion under my head with other hand. Panic run through me I shiver it is cold here, I try to move my arms, my toes and fingers were the only things that responds then I could open my eyes I open them quickly a little too quickly everything was too bright, and my body shot up suddenly fear and anger overpowering my thoughts. I gasp for air like I was dunked under water and my lungs burns, the stupidly bright room makes my eyes water and my head spinning so I shut them again I bring my hand to my face coving my eyes and bring my knees to my chest to the feeling of vomit returns. After everything stopped spinning and my head was no longer foggy, I open my eyes again but this time slowly well aware of the several eyes that are staring at me with so much malice my stomach drops. When my eyes adjust to my new setting, I was staring at an elegant room like ones only seen in movies, the room it was so shiny everything was either a silver or white it's no surprise I was blinded by it the first time I open them. I turn to the group of staring people at my right, my eyes automatically zoned on Gabriel since he f*****g kidnapped me. He was back to his normal image, but I will never unsee it. I quickly stand up and throw a fireball at his face. All too happy that my powers were in use, sadly he moves out of the way before it could land on him. I flick my wrist upwards and got another ball ready, but a hand gently took hold of my arm and my flame dies. I turned my head to see an older man in his mid 40s his hair was brown and brushed back, his eyes a soft brown and a creamy skin tone made him look like a marble statue coming to life, he was well over six feet and tower over me, but his face was softening as he looks down at me.

"Would you please not throw those in my house I just got it redecorated." His voice was deep almost angelic, but something underneath was dark and frightening. I take my hand away glaring at him and everyone else,

"Where am I?" I demand in an even tone doing my best to not show my fear. He smiles it was like his whole face relaxed at my reaction, it was confusing. "Well, where am I?" I ask after the older man nor anyone else answers I take a small slow step back and lift my head, crossing my arms, and raise an eyebrow waiting for my answer finally after a few seconds the man speaks,

"I'm terribly sorry I have yet to introduce myself and the others, how rude of me." He takes one step back, "I am Nicolas Ticheli, those two" he points to the girl and boy who are obviously twins with their matching black hair, brown, green eyes and perfect bone structure, the girl's hair is long and the boys short and his jawline is stronger than hers. They, just like Gabriel and Nicholas, are gorgeous. "Are Jay and Sky, the man in the corner is Rick," he points behind me I turn my head slightly the man was not very tall about a few inches taller than me his hair was blond his eyes a mesmerizing shade of blue, but he looked so angry as to confirm it he raises his lip and practically growl at me. I huff in annoyance and flick a small flame at him it hit his nose and now he has a red mark where it touched Jay laughed making Rick mad,

"Shut up!" He shouted as he puts an ice from his cup on his new addition to his face healing it.

"Apheina that wasn't nice." Nicolas says to me calmly his voice was even and low like he was scolding a naught child I roll my eyes and look at him,

"Right cause I want to play nice with my kidnappers." His face was in complete shock or was pretending to be I couldn't tell.

"Kidnapper! No, I thought Gabriel explained everything."

"RIGHT, THAT'S WHY THEY PUT ME UNDER CAUSE IT WAS A FRIENDLY JOY RIDE WITH FRIENDS!" My anger flaring at this point and I put up a wall around me it was high, and heat waves could be seen I can hear shuffles around me I can't see them, and they can't see me.

"Apheina, please let me explain." He was still in front of me, so I shot a flame at him not sure if him or not I expand my walls as I think of Angelo but all I was meet was a hollow feeling,

'Angelo, please hear me!' I try to reach out to him anyways but all I got was silence I felt so alone for the first time in my life I can't reach anyone that can help me I feel tear burning the corners of my eyes, but I do my best to keep them from spilling over I will not cry in front of these people. Taking a deep breath, I lower my flames and look at Gabriel. My voice a low threating growl came out as I demand,

"REMOVE IT!" He gave me a stupid smug look,

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"The wall you put up REMOVE IT, NOW!" He leans against the wall my anger flares and fire is all around me I take a step towards him but two icy hands hold my arms down a prickly feeling hits me with burning cold on each grasp I look to see the twins holding me with ice around their hands,

"No." I let out a growl and I throw the last two fireballs at him without the need of my hands, but their cold makes it difficult to make more to my disappointment he dodges them or put them out before it made contact. He started to laugh sending me over the edge I gather all the fire around me taking what I could from the fireplace, and heat from the air to form a large fireball I lunch it aiming right at him it was too fast for him to dodge and too big for him to defuse. Before it hit him though it vanished by a giant gust of icy wind from the door that almost knocked everyone over myself included as the twins tilt a bit from the harsh breeze. I turn ready to throw my feet if I have to at anyone who gets in my way of leaving starting with these two dumbasses.

"Apheina, honey please stop destroying my home." A women spoke in a motherly tone. She looks down around the room then sighs, "I just got this room down, love why did you let her ruin our house." She looks at Nicolas as she walks into the room. She was flawless, her blonde hair so light it had a tint almost blue that flowed down to her shoulders her skin was pale but with a healthy glow that made her grey eyes and red lips pop out. Her heels clicked on the floor making everyone's silence even more noticeable.

"I'm sorry darling I wasn't sure if I should have stopped her or not it. It seems we have a little misunderstanding." In pure shock I shout,

"A LITTLE MISUNDERSTANDING! TAKING SOMEONE'S FOOD IS A LITTLE MISUNDERSTANDING! YOU PEOPLE KIDNAPPED ME!" They all just stared at me for a while, and I got extremely uncomfortable then a harsh dry laugh breaks the silence I turn my head to who the voice and Gabriel was next to a window just laughing away. Already furious at him I blast him with heat waves it depletes the last of my heat but was totally worth it to watch as he gets hit everywhere and knocks him over as well as shut him up. He was hunched over in a ball glaring at me I couldn't help but smile and even chuckle a little. The woman huffed that I ruined the curtains as well.

"Gabriel, stand up and suppress her power it seems we can't talk with her and looks like this is all your fault." With a little struggle he does what she says his eyes change and a bit of his features in his face did too but not fully like when he kidnapped me. My body goes hot if I had any warmth left it was gone now, with the two holding my arms down I couldn't even whip away the tears as the begin to fall one after another, I fall unable to handle the pain my knees gave out. the twins let me go as a pair of new arms come around me, I try my best to swat them away not wanting anyone of these dickheads to touch me, but they didn't move more than a few inches from my sides.

"Just chill you're making this harder than it should be." Rick sighs as he places me on the couch and sits right next to me a little too close to my liking to be honest. Two chairs get pulled over in front of me by Jay and Sky, Nicolas and the woman sit down.

"Let me start again by inducing my lovely wife, Elaven Ticheli. She is the malcontent of our change." I just stared at them with my eyebrows scrunched together. They can tell I was confused or at least that's what I assume since he starts to explain things. "I'm going to assume that you have heard of the war for the nation."

"Bits and pieces I think that was next study in history tomorrow... oh right can't go, KIDNAPPED!" I respond sarcastically, Rick laughs through his nose finding it a little amusing, but Nicolas and Elaven was not. I smiled to myself finding it funny but a unsettling feeling was corrupting the joke knowing I really am kidnapped and won't see Angelo.

'Angelo????' I silently screamed in my head, 'Please hear me please.' The silence was deafening I sigh.

"Then I'll sum it up for you,

When the war was still raging there was a goddess that came down from the mountains and gave a selected few with the strength of ten men, but the power came with a cost and now when those bestowed with the unbelievable blessing, they turn into violent beast nearly unstoppable, but my beautiful wife was able to use our ice magic to slow the insanity that came with using the power." Before he could start rambling on and on about his plans, I let out the most exasperated sigh I could let out and ask,

"Is there a point to your endless babbling? I'm already getting really bored." Clearly displeased with my interruption Nicolas eyes narrowed,

"My point is that you are our key to change everything the power you hold can change our way of living. If we can take the power in you to crumble that outer wall, we will take Ospens remaining lands the goddess will take the powers she given us back and we will be able to live like normal people." I start laughing uncontrollably,

"You're funny really, this must be a joke right." Everyone looked very shocked and even mad mainly the twins.

"And why would this, more like how could this be a joke?" Evalen asked confused. I couldn't even stop laughing to answer it was too much.

"Stop laughing already!" Sky yelled blowing a strong gust of ice wind blows my way but with the flick of my wrist it disappears I might be able to summon my fire, but I could use the small amount of heat in the air from her weak powers. I stop laughing out of my confusion I wasn't even trying to use magic I couldn't I have to be focus on something I look at my hand the words from the others around me growing,

"I thought I said to take her powers." Evalen looks at Gabriel who puts his hands up.

"As you stated I am a very power Magi, don't think my powers will be suppressed that easily. For the record I will never help you."

"You are very strong girl I know." Evalen says taking my hand, "If you won't willingly help me I can and will use other methods to persuade you." I smack her hand away her icy touch was painful, but it didn't last long as my vision got blurry, and darkness overtakes my sight.
