*Jasmine’s POV* When I arrive at the Gates, I am shocked to see two cars gone. They left without me and sean. I turn back to the house and notice sean running towards me “did you know?” I ask. He stops and looks over at me, confused. “Know what?” I throw my hands up in the air “they left without us. The cars a missing!!” Sean looks around and looks as lost as I feel. “Jas, remember us keeping you hidden? Well, if you went to your old pack, that isn't staying hidden.” I look at the ground and kick a stone. “I guess so, but they could have said stay behind. We have got this” Sean pulls me into his arms and kisses my forehead “would have you listened?” “No, but I would have understood.” We walk back to the pack house and wait to see if the others can find my mother. That's if she is still alive. Hours pass, and there is still no sign of their return. Sean has left me alone so he can attend to packing business in his father's place, and that leaves me to worry and wait. I begin to think about how my mother looks now. Will she remember me? Is she okay? Being locked up for that long can't be suitable for anyone. That's if she is alive; I don't have high hopes. *Sean’s POV* I met my father at Jasmine’s old pack, and we are at the location she pointed out on the map. I see the cottage and something seems off. I notice guards, but they are not guarding the cottage. They seem to be guarding a mound of grass. I look over at my father, who is thinking the same thing. He begins to creep around the cabin, and we see five guards. Something tells me there must be a secret door in the ground where Victoria is. I get lower in the grass and watch, waiting for my chance to attack and prey. The guards don't pick up on our scents. I slowly move closer to the guards, and my dad moves with me. We stop when we see a door open, and Vincent comes out with scratches down his face. That is when I lose control of my wolf. That is all he needs to confirm that Victoria is there. I run toward Vincent and charge him, pinning him to the ground while my father and his men fight the guards. I place my teeth around his throat wanting nothing more than to rip his head from his shoulders. “Do it”, he growls, but I don't. I want this bastard alive until we have answers. More wolves come flooding out of the door, and fighting around us gets more fierce; I can't keep Vincent pinned with the wolves coming to attack me, and I knock him unconscious and begin to join the fight. When I see my father come out with Victoria in his arms, I know it's time to run. I look over at Vincent lying on the ground and then back to my father, who shakes his head; I know he wants me to leave Vincent behind. We came here to get Victoria, not take down vincent. But if we take down Vincent, then there is only his son to contend with, so I go back and begin to drag him away from the fight to the nearby cars waiting for us. I shift and quickly put some pants on, then haul Vincent into the back of the car and wait for my father to come. “Why did you bring him back with us, Sean.” I look over at him. “So he can be dealt with for what he has done to Victoria.” I see Victoria looking pale in my father's arms, “Kade will be in my car to keep Vincent under guard.” I wait for my father to place Victoria into the car, and we begin our journey back to the pack house. Taking Vincent declared war between our packs but seeing Victoria alive made the mission worthwhile. When we arrive at the house, I see Jasmine sitting on the front steps with a small child. They have flowers scattered around them and little flower chains on their heads. When Jasmine sees us, she begins to walk over but stops in her tracks. When she sees my dad with Victoria, Kade drags Vincent from the back of my car, and the warriors help him carry Vincent to our dungeons. I walk to Jasmine, who looks like she might kill me for joining the fight. I take her into my arms and kiss her, “sorry, my love; we had to keep you hidden and not risk them seeing you.” Jasmine buries her head in my chest and sighs. “I would have stayed there if you had asked me to. Yes, I wanted to get my mother back, but I knew I had to keep it hidden until our ceremony.” She looks up at me, and I see tears in her beautiful grey orbs. Then we walk over to my father, who is walking with Victoria to the pack hospital “she is weak and needs medical attention. Jasmine, you can stay with her, but we will have Kade stand Guard until we are confident that the danger has passed.” Jasmine looks over at her mother and bites her bottom lip trying to hold back the tears that threaten to fall. “Sean, can you get my brother? I want him with us.” I kiss Jasmine’s temple and leave her with my dad, then get Jasmine’s brother, knowing he will be in a state of shock when he learns after all these years, he will be reunited with both the woman who he yearned for all the years he has been here at our pack. When we return to the hospital, I see Jasmine sitting by Victoria’s. Both women are speaking in hushed voices and never lose eye contact. I look over at Rocky, and his face drops “it can't be. She is dead!” I pat his shoulder “go to them. You all have a lot of catching up to do.” I lean on the door frame and watch the reunion, not wanting to interfere with the happy moment. I turn to leave “sean, get your ass in here. I want my mother to meet you.” I turn and look over at Jasmine and smile. “I must go and check our guest in the Dungeon, sweetheart. I will be back soon.” I walk down the corridor to the dungeons and smirk when I see Vincent chained to the wall looking like the hopeless wolf I always knew he was. I get a chair and sit at the bars so he can see me. “So, are you going to tell us why? Or do I need to beat it out of you!.” Vincent looks up at me and spits, “because your kind is going to Ruin the wolves, we don't need Lycian scum taking over our lands.” He goes to move forward but hisses in pain when the silver chains burn his skin. I watch him struggle against them, quickly losing strength. “We had no intention of stealing land; Vincent, we are here about working with wolves but not wolves like you who thrive on bringing harm to others.” His eyes snap up to mine, and for the first time, I see fear “what are you going to do to me?” I fold my arms over my chest “we are going to make you suffer like you made Victoria suffer for all the years.” I stand up and walk back to the hospital, leaving my words to sink into Vincent’s mind and leave him to wonder what sort of punishment is in stall for him.
