CHAPTER III: TEMPER OF GODS (6) 'The appearances of the shadows always hide a prelude to the finality of a deluded cosmos. The Queen of the North, every twenty-one of the cycles, lulled the King of the North into a deep sleep; ventured with an innocent cup of tea. The woman waited patiently at midnight, to go out through the royal window, and descend from her castle by the delirious stairs of the Vetiglio's dome; the largest area, according to the queen, outside of royalty. Her companion was always waiting for her at the strength of the fortress and the wall of the three towers. She grabbed her black horse, one reserved for dark and delusional magic, and it plunged into the nearby grove of the kingdom. The Glimaú forest. In it, there was a small cabin, secret and hidden, that the woman had prepared to perform the spell of the vacuum of the boiler. She made the soup, and when it gave her the last bit of l**t and pleasure, the woman watered it on the plain inside the tiny cabin. And when that potion was flooded in the vegetative body, internal to the cabin, the woman entered towards him, and this water reflected a dark transport towards the south. A nocturnal passageway, full of water and sensation.' "Wait," Pasithea interrupts. "What? Where were the waters of the lake taking her? " “To the Sermail lagoon, a private lagoon of the royalty of the south; where only my father, me and my brothers can shine. " "Wow," Pasithea exclaims. "How do you know this?" "Because I saw it myself," exclaims Iram. “I witnessed it myself, six times minimum. I have no idea if they saw each other before that. " "What did you do when you saw her?" Pasithea asks. "Wait for him to go," exclaims Iram. “And then I was away from my father for twenty three days. When I got back, I told him what I thought. I expressed my anger, and my total disapproval. He didn't trust that woman. Yet she kept coming. My father ignored me, until suddenly one day, he can perceive it with my brothers. I could not believe it. How was it possible for this woman to gain everyone's trust? " "Why do you think he did it?" Pasithea exclaims. "Come on Iram, the queen was the most charismatic of this born." "Not for me," replies the prince. “She came with his gifts to my three brothers. Trying to compare them and earn them. That wasn't going to happen with me. " "Perhaps her energy was contagious to them," Pasithea exclaims. "Maybe they were looking for that support." "The Sons of Solari do not need support from the north," Iram responds. “They were not infected, they were deceived. Veronica was just a child when this happened. And the twins were practically newborns. They were too young to understand. " "My brothers do not know the story as I do," exclaims the prince. “They were not raised by my mother like I was for eight years. They do not understand the truth, even if they know it. " “You speak as if they don't know what happened,” Pasithea exclaims. “They sure they know the story. It is obvious that they have asked about his mother, and it is more obvious, that you should have told him this. " "Of course I do!" exclaims Iram. “But there is no more blind than he who cannot see! Marlina convinced them all of her charisma, but she never managed to do it for me! " "Did you manage to talk to her?" Pasithea asks. “Calro yes,” exclaims Iram. "What did you talk about?" Pasithea asks. "She just apologized," exclaims Iram. “He looked me in the eye and said that he appreciated the fact that I was keeping this a secret. I always did it for my father, not for her. That's what I told him. It would be a shame and a scandal for all if this were known. " "She gave me a necklace, and told me that with it I would always be blessed and protected in the north." Iram continuous. "Well, what happened to that necklace?" Pasithea asks. “I threw it into the sea in her face,” Iram replies. "And I told him clearly that I would never see my steps in the north, because I don't need anything from him, or anything from her." "And I keep those words," exclaims Iram. “She is a woman who uses her charms to deceive everyone, and for having done it, look what happened to her. I know she was your friend, but you understand why for me she was never trustworthy. Although, the fact that she was killed by Amsiret is good news. If life had remained, I don't know what disasters would have happened. My father was not going to stop his love for Marlina, and she wanted to be with both of them because she did not have the strength to decide. Like it never has. He wants to be well with the light, and with the devil. " But if this is true, why have the gods joined forces? " I don't know yet, but it's not really that difficult. " exclaims Iram. “They both need her strength to overcome her death, before the truth is revealed. Marlina is the only thing that separated them, and at the same time the only thing that united them both. The fact that she existed is what allowed the two to be together. My theory is that Amsiret, cannot declare to her brother that she murdered Marlina, as well as my father He cannot tell his brother that Marlina was cheating on him with him. They need to vent their irritation. They need to exact their revenge. "And here you enter," continues Iram, "because through you, is that this account can be settled, and both can agree that your death is the solution to the murder of the queen." "But Iram, Amsiret was the one who killed Marlina!" "I know," Iram replies. “That is why I am concerned. Because in that context, what does the King of the North intend to do by deceiving my father? What if they manage to assassinate you? What will he do after they kill you? " "What do you think he's up to?" Pasithea asks. "I don't know, but that union is not waiting for me," exclaims Iram. “If he is that liar, which I do not doubt he is, then he is plotting against the South. He's using you as a distraction to get closer to the kingdom, and I don't have a good feeling about this. " “You have to help me, Iram,” Pasithea exclaims. “I cannot understand these intentions. Everything is so confusing, yet relevant. " “They both live in denial, so killing you will only be the start of Amsiret's plan. Then come your next steps. And I don't trust the duration of that alliance, because that union doesn't give me a good feeling."
