Holding onto Roxy as she waved David goodbye, he sat in the helicopter, looking at Roxy waving back; we stayed till we could no longer see or hear the helicopter. Then Roxy took a deep breath, turned, and buried her head in my chest, and I held her tight until her shaking stopped and she backed off. This was for her, and I would wait as long as she needed me to.
