I felt his burning gaze on the side of my face the entire journey back to my apartment. I didn't look anywhere but to the front. I kept my face ahead even though I was literally staring at the headrest of the passenger seat.
"We're almost there," I heard Colton say. I knew he was just saying that to start a conversation.
But I didn't take that bait. I remained silent, ignoring him. I knew I had endured being with him in this compact car for almost half an hour now. I just have to put up with him for a few more minutes.
