He knew his aim would send the bullet straight through his target, but still, he didn’t like the man’s gun pointed directly at Sarah’s heart. It enraged him enough he needed that extra breath to steady his hand and his mind, tamping down the anger that flowed through his veins and threatened to make his hand unsteady. Even the slightest tremor could throw off his shot, and this one, more than the others needed to be precise. He needed this shot to be perfect. Focusing all his effort on the task at hand he breathed in, and as he began to release it, he pulled the trigger.
