I didn’t want to go to Miguel’s place of work. I didn’t feel good about it, although I admit I was curious. But--even if I was curious I believed there were things I needed to know and there were those I should not…I didn’t know which was applicable now.
Miguel had been under a lot of stress lately, even if he covered it up every chance he got. I could feel it bubbling from his core...therefore, I have chosen to ignore all the warning signs as I agreed to go with him.
In all honesty, I was out of breath when we arrived at the place, not from excitement but from worry for the unknown, Miguel’s group had rented the whole property for a week. I guess they would use it to their advantage, squeezing the value out of the lease to the last cent.
