Just as they stepped out of the pump house Trey was coming over the path. He stopped, a massive loony grin on his face and waited for them to walk up the path to him.
Jesse’s face was on fire under that monstrous grin and by the time they reached Trey he was chuckling like an insane person.
“Shut up!” Jesse spat under her breath as they reached him.
